19.
17K. (1) Every employer shall keep at the place of
employment of each of his employees a record of -
(a)
the full name of the employee as shown in
his identity card or other document by
virtue of which he is lawfully employable; and
(b) the type of document held by the employee
by virtue of which he is lawfully employable,
and the number of that document.
(2)
Every employer shall, where he employs more
than 10 employees at any one place of employment, keep at that place the records of those employees in the form of
a list of the names and particulars of those employees required under subsection (1).
(3) Every employer shall keep the record of each
employee and every list required to be kept under subsection (2)
(a)
up to date;
(b)
(c)
in a form which is capable of being produced on demand to a person authorised to inspect it;
and
in a form which is legible and capable of being readily understood by any person
authorised to inspect it.
