According to the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, The Two "Snakeheads" Shot Dead Are from Hong Kong and Three Speed Boats Have Been Detained So Far at Mirs Pay

board the speed boat which entered Chinese waters to carry illegal

immigrants and were shot dead had been identified as TING Kwong-ming

and HO Kam-loi The spokesman also disclosed that since November last

year, 3 such speed boats have been detained in Chinese waters at Mirs Bay.

As disclosed, the two shot were TING Kwong-ming, born on 11th December 1955, I.D. Card No. E689476; and HO Kami-loi, born on 10th August 1956, I.D. Card No. E687943. The authorities concerned found

on the two dead persons a total of HK$30, 20-odd cards and ball pens.

The speed boat detained the day before yesterday has a buff hull',' and a dark yellow deck. It is 6 metres long, 2.5 metres wide, and is

installed with a single 235 h.p. engine capable of a maximum speed of 60

nautical miles. It has a carrying capacity of 11⁄2 tons and could carry

about 20 passengers.

him take the person away.
