(i) had that citizenship by his birth, naturalisation

or registration in an existing dependency;

:

or

(ii) had been born to a parent who at the time of that

birth so had it; or

(c) he is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies who

has at any time (when such a citizen) been ordinarily

and lawfully resident in an existing dependency without

being subject by virtue of any law relating to immigration:

to any restriction on the period for which he might

remain, and had at that time (and while such a citizen)

been ordinarily resident there for the last 5 years or

more; or

(a) in the case of a woman, she is a citizen of the United

Kingdom and Colories and

(i) is the wife of a man mentioned in sub-paragraphs

(a) to (c); or

(ii) has been married to such a man; or

(iii) has been married to a man who, but for his death,

would have become a citizen of the Fritish Dependent

Territories under (a) to (c) above.

h citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies who is such.

by registration under section 7 of the 1948 Act or section 1 of

the 1964 (No. 2) Act is to become a citizen if either of his

parents (in the case of a section 7 registration) or his mother

(in the case of a 1964 (No. 2) het registration) was a citizen of

the United Kingdoz and Colonies at the time of the registration

and becczes, or sculâ bus for his or her death have beccne, a

citizen of the British Dependent Territories.
