proposals for British citizens working in EC institutions will at
least ensure that their children born overseas will acquire British
citizenship (assuming they satisfy any other conditions that are
applied to UK businessmen). If, however, Ministers wish to draw
the Home Secretary's attention to the staff of European institutions
I have no objection to including a paragraph in the draft on the broad lines given by Mr Spreckley.
