On the first point we do not know whether it would be

practicable or desirable to try to draft a provision for the

dependent territories similar to that which is proposed for

British Citizenship for transmission of citizenship to people

of the second or subsequent generation born overseas who have

a particularly close and specified connection with the UK.

7. Finally, there is the very important question of the right

of abode in a denendencvfor a person who acquires the citizen-

ship of the dependent territories by virtue of a connection

with it. The right of abode in denendencies is generally

governed by Immigration Ordinances in individual dependencies.
