I strongly support the point made in paragraph 9 UI your minute of 1 April to Mr Clift about the need for an additional paragraph in the White Paper emphasising HMG's continuing commitment to the dependencies. As regards paragraph 4 of your minute I would support the replacement of 'colony' by
'dependency' wherever this can be done - particularly in para- grphs 104, 106, 108 and 110.
