a United Kingdom organisation would be defined so as to include:-
for this purpose
(i) an international organisation of which the
United Kingdom is a member and to which the
parent had been appointed by the United Kingdom;
(ii) a body (incorporated or otherwise) established
in the United Kingdom, or a body directly or in-
directly controlled by a body established here;
(iii) an organisation subject to the provisions of
Discipline.
the Services Deceiption Acts when serving abroad
with the Armed Forces;
(iv) the Overseas Services Aid Scheme.

The grant of citizenship would be made by the Home Secretary subject to an application being made by the
parent, normally within 12 months of the child's birth
(but later in exceptional circumstances) and subject to satisfactory evidence of connection being produced.

Differences of View on the Application of the Concession
1. The Home Office view is that the right to transmit
beyond the first generation born overseas should be
reserved to those parents who are immediately before the
coming into force of the new Act citizens of the United
Kingdom and Colonies by descent, of the first generation
born abroad.
