4. From this Sitrep our figures are being amended to take account of the considerable number of Vietnamese refugees who have come illegally to Hong Kong by boat after being settled in China. Such people are kept in detention pending arrangements for their return to China and are so listed in paragraph 1. They have been excluded from the comparative regional figures in paragraph 3.
Washington, Ottawa, Paris, Bonn and Canberra are requested to pass Saving to subordinate Posts.
