We noticed that in answer to a question in the House of Commons on 19 December from Dr Edmund Marshall MP, the Minister of State gave the total figure for Vietnamese refugees here at 15 December. In general, we think it would be best to exclude from figures for Vietnamese refugees those being held in detention because they had been settled in China. To get this revised total figure all that need be done is to subtract the total of those 'under detention' from the total figure given in our monthly or weekly sitreps.
