Economically active children are defined as persons aged 12 and 13 who were engaged in productive work for at least 15 hours during the seven days prior to enumeration, and persons aged 12 and 13 who would have been engaged in productive work but were unemployed. at the time of enumeration.

Labour force participation rate of children aged 12 and 13 is defined as the proportion which the number of persons aged 12 and 13 who were working or unemployed bears to the total number of persons aged 12 and 13.
