A BILL
To
Amend the Employment Ordinance.
ANNEX A TO XCR (80)32
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title and
commence- ment.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Employment
(Amendment) Ordinance 1980 and shall come into operation
on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in
the Gazette.
Addition of · new sections 4A and 4B. (Cap. 57.)
2. The principal Ordinance is amended in Part I
by adding, after section 4, the following
"Authorization
of Public officers.
4A.
The Commissioner may in
writing authorize any public officer or
class of public officer to exercise or
perform any or all of the powers, functions
or duties conferred or imposed on the
Commissioner under this Ordinance.
Governor may give directions.
4B. (1) The Governor may give
such directions as he thinks fit, either
generally or in any particular case, with
respect to the exercise or performance
by any public officer of any powers,
functions or duties under this Ordinance.
