sura you are aware of the concern being expressed in Hong Kong by many individuals and organisations over the decision by the British Aviation Authority to award to British Caledonian the right to fly, with British Airways, the Hong Kong/ London route to the exclusion of Cathay Pacific Airways. Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce has received many represen- tations from its member companies and as I would like our views conveyed to the Secretary of State for Trade, may I ask if we could use your good offices to have the enclosed letter forwarded to The Right Hon. John Nott.
