Additional assessment
The figure for the total additional assessment (US $9,086,300) is then divided by the total tonnage (in thousands) of all Members (column C: 406,623 thousand tons). In the figures for total assessments only one half of the actual tonnage figure is used for an Associate Member (Hong Kong). The result of this division, US $22.34576, gives the share for each 1,000 tons and multiplied by the tonnage (in thousands) for each Member gives that Member's share of the additional assessment.
