The Secretary-General of the Inter-Governmental Maritime Consultative
Organization presents his compliments to the Secretary of State for
Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom and has the honour to request that this communication be sent to the appropriate authorities of Her Majesty's Government acting for the Government of Hong Kong.
He has the honour to draw his attention to Assembly Resolution A.458(XI) approving the budget appropriations for the 11th financial period 1980/81.
Annex I shows the assessment of 1980 contributions on all Members
of IMCO assessed according to the scale established in Assembly
Resolution A.76(IV), and Annex II explains how these contributions
have been determined.
Attention is drawn to Article 5.4 of the Financial Regulations
which states that contributions and advances shall be considered due
and payable in full within thirty days of the receipt of the relevant
communication.
The Secretary-General would wish also to refer to Assembly Resolution A.453(XI) on Arrears of Contributions and the Working Capital
Fund which urges Members to pay future contributions promptly.
Payment should be remitted in United States Dollars or the Pound
Sterling equivalent at the rate of exchange on the day of payment to
the Inter-Governmental Maritime Consultative Organization, 104 Piccadilly,
London WIV OAE.
The Secretary-General avails himself of this opportunity to renew
to His Excellency the assurance of his highest consideration.
