Objection to A Proposed Order under Section 6 of Chapter No. 130
(G.N.2607 dated 12.10.79)
Please record my objection to the proposed closure of Chun
Hah Road permanently.

Being a resident in Hong Lee Road/Kung Lok Road area, I have to make use of Chun Wah Road in returning home every day. This popular route is also shared by hundreds of car owners, housewives, students, etc. in this area. You may agree that traffic in Kwun Tong is worse than any other urban areas. The increasing population in Shun Lee Tsuen complex has greatly burdened the traffic network of Kwun Tong over the recent months. Until an alternative inlet/outlet like Clearwater Bay Inter- Change System, Eastern Approaches to Airport Tunnel is available some time next year, any proposal to further reduce our vehicular-pedestrian links with other parts of Kowloon will be going directly against the interest of the local community at large. Can I therefore suggest to defer this pro- posal till the completion of the 2 other projects mentioned above?
