(c) by deleting "In this Schedule "mile" includes
any part of a mile." and substituting the
following
"In this Schedule "kilometre" includes
any part of a kilometre."
Transitional provisions.
3.
(1) Until the taximeter of a taxi has been
(a) converted to record the scale of fares in
force pursuant to regulation 2 of these
regulations; and

(b) tested, stamped and sealed by the Authority,
there shall be displayed in a prominent position inside
such taxi a notice in a form specified by the Authority
setting out the scale of fares for hiring the taxi and
a table for converting the readings on such taximeter
to the appropriate scale of fares.
(2) If a notice in the form specified by the
Authority under paragraph (1) is not displayed in a
taxi referred to in paragraph (1), the fare for hiring
such a taxi shall be the fare shown on its taximeter.
