CLP/KEC JOINT STUDY
We confirm that NPC acting on behalf of NNC
is prepared to continue to act as leader and co-ordinator of U.K. support to the proposed Joint Feasibility Study by China Light and Power and the Kwangtung Electric Bureau for a nuclear power station in South China on the following clear understandings:
1. The study is to be completed by the end of
September 1980.
2. Other U.K. participants notably, United Kingdom
Atomic Energy Authority, British Nuclear Fuels, British Electricity International/Electrical Supply Industry will stand their proportion of any costs they may incur.

The budget which shall include NPC's costs and fees incurred to date in initiating the U.K. interest shall not exceed £200,000.
That the Overseas Projects Group of the Department of Trade will contribute one half of the costs incurred.
5. That no increase in budget or timescale shall be
comitted without NPC's prior approval.
