ROYAL NAVY TÚG CAPTURED BY CHINESE PATROL CRAFT (many papers, moderately)

The Royal Navy has set up a board of inquiry to investigate the intrusion incident last Friday when the tug Clare erroneously intruded into Chinese waters and was dutained by a Chinoso patrol craft. The tug was reportedly on anti-illegal migration operations at the time. The tug was allowed to return to Hong Kong 14 hours later and no casualtios were reported.

MACAU USHERING REFUGEES INTO HK PROTESTED (Oriental Daily, exclusively)

The government has lodged a strong protest with the Macau Government against its move to guide Vietnamese refugees to Hong Kong. The official protest was made by the Political Advisor last month and its contents also touched on maritime law and Hong Kong's stand on dealing with refugees,

The Association of Govori nt Nursing Staff yesterday attacked the promotion systom, which is not based on seniority, and asked the authorities concerned to chang this policy. They also made two suggestions regarding the promotion system.
