Not surprisingly, a number of articles have been appearing in local left-wing magazines on the general subject of the future of Hong Kong. They are sometimes useful as pointers to the themes which attract greatest attention. Although we do not attach any great sig- nificance to its provenance, you may wish to see the enclosed translation done by the US Foreign Broadcasing Information Service here of a longish article in the 16 July issue of "Wide Angle (GUANGJIAOJING).
