I should be grateful if you would insert behind Briefs Nos 12 and 13 the attached paper by Sir Keith Joseph, referred to in paragraph 1 of the 'Essential Facts' to Brief No 8(d) - Guangdong Nuclear Project - for Lord Carrington's Visit to China.

I should also be grateful if you would substitute:
a) the attached Brief No 6 for the one your already have;
b) the attached revised page 3 of the 'Points to Make' and
and Pages 4-5 of the 'Essential Facts' of Brief No 17.
Please also note:

a) Brief No 4(B) Mr D K Newbigging is a Director, not
Chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, as stated on page 3.
b) Brief No 4(C) Mr Hilton Cheong-Leen will not be in
Hong Kong during the visit and his name should therefore be deleted.
