Secretary of State's Visit to Hong Kong
In his submission of 12 September Mr Morrice asked that Lady Carrington's views should be sought on certain points in the programme.
She
I have now spoken to Lady Carrington. would like the Saturday morning to be left relatively free (ie she does not wish a visit to be arranged to a public housing estate or a garden). However, if it is decided that we should leave Hong Kong at 10.00 am on Monday 29 September, thus making it impossible for Lady Carrington to have coffee with diplomatic wives on that day, Lady Carrington would be pleased to have an opportunity to meet the diplomatic wives at, say, 11.00 am on Saturday 27 September.
On the evening of Saturday 27 September Lady Carrington would like to opt for the second of the three alternatives offered by the Governor ie an informal dinner somewhere other than Government House.
