I would refer the honourable Gentleman to the replies

given on the 31st of October 1979] to the honourable Member for

Liverpool, Scotland Exchange.

These listed the names of Members

of Parliament who have visited Hong Kong at the invitation of the

Hong Kong Government in the past five years and the expense

incurred. The Hong Kong Government are satisfied that these

visits help to increase understanding of Hong Kong.

5. I would refer the honourable Gentleman to the reply given

the 28th of November 1979 to the honourable Member for

Liverpool, Scotland Exchanve, explaining that the Sections of

the Ordinance dealing with public meetings and processions are

under review by the Hong Kong Government, who expect to introduce

amendments in the near future.

SAI LAU KOK: LAND CLEARANCE

6. All outstanding claims for compensation have now been

settled.

7. I understand that the Commissioner of Police in Hong Kong

has written to the honourable Gentleman explaining that a

thorough investigation was carried out and appropriate

disciplinary action taken.

PROFESSOR TURNER'S REPORT ON LABOUR RELATIONS IN HONG KONG

I have not yet received the final version of Professor

Turner's report.

When I have, I shall consider, in

consultation with the Governor of Hong Kong, what we should

do next.
