MR BLAKER'S MEETING WITH THE GOVERNOR OF HONG KONG
6 NOVEMBER AT 15.00
1.
Mr Blaker has asked what the present links between
CPA and HKA are.
2. HKA used to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of CPA
which in turn is owned by the Swire Group (60%),
Hongkong and Shanghai Bank (25%) and British Airways (15%).
Following changes this year, HKA is now directly owned by
the same companies in the same proportion.
however, agreed that they would relinquish their majority
Swires have,
shareholding if this was necessary to obtain Chinese
acceptance of HKA on the Hong Kong/Shanghai route.
