1. I am grateful to Mr Webb for drawing together a the loose ends on this. Could we now ask the Department of Transport for an up-to-date consolidated programme instead of all the bits and pieces which we have at present?
2. Surely it is for us to provide the Department of Transport with briefing and not the other way round (Mr Griffiths' minute of 7 March). I should be grateful if you would attend the oral briefing session for Mr Fowler on 27 March. Clearly, we shall need to provide our briefing for Mr Fowler in advance of this.
3. In view of Mr Fowler's proposed meeting with Sir L Kadoorie, would you please check with the Department of Industry whether they wish Mr Fowler to say anything about the Guangdong nuclear project. If not, Mr Fowler should be given defensive briefing in case Sir L Kadoorie himself raises it.
