b. Lantau Bridge (planned site): the Engineering Consultants Group of Hong Kong led by Mott Hay and Anderson (UK), reported on the Lantau to Kowloon link possibilities which included a proposal for 3
bridges.
A causeway may be built instead. Further studies are being inade. The Minister ay wish to
enquire about progress if the subject
comes up, but does not need to raise
it.

Authority and British consultants Gowllins, Melvin, Ward formed part
of the consultancy team. There is no need to raise the subject.
d. Castle Peak Power Station
GEC recently won a multi-million pound contract to supply equipment to the Hong Kong power station organisation.
Governor's Working Dinner
Guests will include the Secretary for the Environment (Mr DJ C Jones) and the
Director, PWD (Mr D W Macdonald, met by Sir Peter Baldwin) Several PWD officials
have visited the Department and we retain
close links. The PWD have asked for the
Department's help in establishing a road safety division and the Minister may like to confirm our willingness to give
assistance.
