it the prior consent from the Legislative Council and the decision to

give consent or not would be made after the member concerned has made submissions

to the Legislative Council;

b. should defer all his military and civil obligations while the Legislative

Council is in session; and

c. is entitled to receive all the materials, reports and Government publications

pertaining to his duties.

2) A member of the Legislative Council is entitled to an identification card, a

special passport and such renumerations as may be fixed by the Legislative Council.

Article 28

A member of the Legislative Council may resign by serving a written

declaration to this effect.

Article 29

A member of the Legislative Council who holds a public post must give

priority to the Council while in sessions.

Article 30

1) A member of the Legislative Council may cease to become one under the following

circumstances

a. When he is found to be incompentent or to be unable to hold two or more poste

concurrently in accordance with the ordinances and rules referred to in 5 of

Article 21; and

b. When he has been absent from the Council sessions for 5 times consecutively or

for a total of 15 times.

2) The right of announcing the suspension of any member rests with the Legislative

Council itself.
