SANCTIONS AGAINST IRAN: DEPENDENT TERRITORIES
1. In view of the strong interest in this subject in Hong Kong and, to a lesser extent, in Bermuda, I should be grateful if the text of any communiqué or decision taken by EC Foreign Ministers at Naples on 17 May could be telegraphed to Hong Kong and Hamilton at the same time as it is sent to other posts. There is a Chinese angle in view of Chinese re-exports to Iran via Hong Kong and the text should also be sent to Peking.
