Please see Mr Clift's minute of 9 June below. If we are to give individual reports for each territory still dependent, then we should do so in alphabetical order as follows:-

We have contributions for the territories marked (see the papers flagged A-E ). With the exception of BIOT and Pitcairn it will be for IAD to prepare short paragraphs in respect of the remaining dependencies listed above.
3. However we don't believe we need an answer stretching from here to kingdom come, and it must be right to condense the information as much as possible. As we see it, reply must be made in two partė: starting with "In the majority of the remaining dependent territories administration is executed by

Then go on to say what hanrens in Hong Kong. We could finish up by saying something about, Pitcairn and BIOT and refer tothe fact that New Hebrides is going independent on 30 July 1980.
