Are you sufficiently aware of what is going on?

Is there good liaison between portfolios and is

there crossing of portfolio boundaries?

What are the procedures identified for correcting un- constitutional, or contrary-to-instructions, actions by politicians?

Is the relationship between Politicians and Official

Members of the Executive Council/Cabinet, the

Governor and Principal Secretaries and Heads of

Department good?

If not how can this be improved?

Is there an organisational chart for the workings

of Government?

Does the Chief Secretary hold regular Heads of

Departments meetings and meetings with Principal Secretaries for the purpose and report regularly to you?

Are your own office procedures working well,

including vote control, social calendar, issue in advance of 6 monthly programme?

Are you satisfied with the organisation of

portfolios and assignment of departments and subjects.

How often to you visit constituencies?

Are the Annual Report, Civil List, and Departmental

Reports produced at least by June of each succeeding year? Do they serve a suthciently useful purpose to justify the time effort devoted to cher preparation?

Are you fulfilling all the requirements of Colonial

Regulations for annual reports to the Secretary

of State?

To what degree is there political choice of

Chairman and Members?

If there is, are you able to insist on some

representation by non-political and able appointees?

Are they working well and where they are trading are they profitable or paying their way?
