NOTE FOR THE EXECUTIVE/LEGISLATIVE COUNCILS
The Deputy Clerk of Councils presents her compliments to Members of the Executive and Legislative Councils and is directed to forward for their information a copy of the
FIRST REPORT ON CIVIL SERVICES PAY
by the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service.
2.
After the Report has been considered by the Government Secretariat, and after staff associations and departments have been given an opportunity to comment on it, the advice of Executive Council will be sought on the extent to which the Commission's recommendations can be accepted. Finance Committee will then be asked to consider the financial implications.
3.
Members are requested to treat the contents of this report as confidential until 2.30 p.m. on Monday 22nd October, when a press conference will be held by the Chairman of the Commission, Sir Y. K. Kan.
