Hongkong is a witnessing a shameful event which is arousing maiva discontent among its people. The boat people, living unde aiserahl» conditions, went to petition to the Governor reposting to resettled on land. After a series of petitions for over a year, they still did not get a favourable reply from the Government.

C. the 7th Jaần my 1979 a group of boat people went to petition to the Governor again. This time, on their way to the petition place, they we stopped by the police, arrested inside the coach, und had with unlawful assembly. Included are 10 chibima, 66 tilts, and other supporters. This brutal action immediately u und the outcry to cancell all charges and also the dem!↓·
