Honourable Members will be asked to advise under section 53 of the Immigration Ordinance (Chapter 115) whether the decision of the Director of Immigration not to allow Mr Ashraf to take up residence and employment in Hong Kong should be confirmed or reversed.
(The Deputy Director of Immigration (Mr A.J. CARTER) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
