(d) New Zealand citizens by descent cannot transmit their nationality to their children born abroad

but a New Zealand citizen by descent who is suitably qualified can apply to be made a citizen by grant. He then acquires the right

lo trancuit his pebiorality.

10. The attention of the the Office has been drawn to the New Zealand solution as a reasonable model for cur own legislation. They are not, however, in favour of it.
