Mr Arthur Lewis (Newham North West): To ask the Lord Privy Seal, what for the longest and most convenient stated period of time have been the numbers of refugees landing in Hong Kong either annually, monthly, or weekly and the numbers of Hong Kong citizens leaving to enter the United Kingdom.
Since 1975, the annual totals of refugees arriving in Hong Kong
from Vietnam (the only place from which they have arrived in
significant numbers) have been:
