Secretary-General's chairmanship,
1.
Commends the Secretary-General for his initiative in
convening, and for his chairmanship of the Geneva Meeting and oth
the Pledging Conference;
2. Commends also Governments for their assistance and
pledges to increase such assistance, in cash and kind, especially
for the immediate relief of the land refugees from Kampuchea;
3. Urges Governments, as well as the countries of origin
of such refugees and displaced persons, to continue to co-operate
with the Secretary-General, the United Nations High Commissioner
for Refugees, other United Nations agencies and bodies concerned,
and the international community to solve the problem at source,
while avoiding any action that may cause human suffering a loss
of life, or jeopardize the right of emigration and family
reunification;

Further urges the resettlement countries, and other
countries in a position to do so, to increase the number and
speed of their intake of Indochina refugees and displaced persons,
with due priority given to those already in camps in Southeast
Asia, for resettlement in their countries;
5.
Requests United Nations Sepcialized Agencies and bodies
concerned to give high priority to their participation in rendering
assistance to alleviate, and to find durable solutions to the
problem;
