behalf to thank you for your letter of 17 July about South East Asian refugees.
I am bringing your letter to the Prime Minister's attention. You may like to see the enclosed text of the statement made by the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary, Lord Carrington, in the House of Lords yesterday about the Government's approach to the meeting which has been convened in Geneva under United Nations' auspices as a result of the Prime Minister's initiative.
