The Greek Ambassador told me this morning Government had not only increased to 200 its offer of resettlement places, but had expressed a preference to the UNHCR for refugees from Hong Kong, if possible with experience in horticulture.
2. I said I was sure that the reference to Hong Kong would give satisfaction here. We felt that some resettlement countries had rather overlooked Hong Kong's claims.
