12th July 1979.

May I urge you and your Government to give a strong moral lead to the forthcoming United Nations meeting on the Indo-China refugees by announcing that Britain will give sanctuary on a generous basis to some of these refugees,

Please be assured of the full support of Help the Aged in any move you take in this direction. We will do our part as an organisation to help in whatever way we can.

A strong humanitarian action, independent of any political situation or. apportionment of blame, is surely essential at the present time.

I hope you will feel able to respond in this way.

Plot

Yours sincerely,

Daullinen

Director.
