1. Mr Blaker has commented that we shouta y to transfer to the Home Office those MPs letters which deal mainly with matters of immigration policy. Surely it is for the Home Office to deal with complaints about Government decisions to allow people to enter this country and to settle here.
2. Mr Blaker appreciates that in the run-up to the Geneva Conference it has probably been right on balance for the FCO to deal with the bulk of the "boat people" correspondence. But afterwards we should look critically at the content of Letters.
