N.B.

Minor discrepancies in totals are due to rounding.

a These figures exclude refugees "sur place", i.e. those who were in the country of settlement at the time of the events in Indochina in the Spring of 1975. They include refugees accepted by the country of resettlement but still awaiting departure in the country of temporary asylum.

b Estimate.

147,000 Laotians, 17,000 Kampucheans and 10,700 Vietnamese. In addition, some 40,000 Kampucheans were estimated to be in the border area to which inter- national organisations did not have access.

d Plus 550 persons on "Tung An" still awaiting permission to land.
