6. A proposal is also being considered by Ministers

that we try to organise consultations with like-

minded Ministers in Geneva on the day before the

Conference. It seems unlikely the Secretary of

State's party could find time to get to Geneva for

these, but Mr Blaker and the main party of officials

would certainly have to do so. Subject to

Ministerial decision, this suggests that the main

party might have to travel on Wednesday evening,

18 July or early on Thursday, 19 July.

May I now please ask for your Conference Section to

start the necessary administrative planning. I have

already given UKMIS Geneva an indication of the size

of the party and they are concerned about the avail-

ability of hotel rooms. Would you envisage a charter

aircraft?
