Those in Mai Tek North camp have not been permitted to work." In view of the very considerable increzpel in the musiber of Vietnamese refugees we may have to insist that those refugere b. Kai Tak de not work. They would, of course, be shie to leave the camp for shopping, etc.;
There is a small medical centre in the camp which provides more in-patient accommodation, etc, than is necessary for those in the camp. We have therefore been using it as a Treatment centre for other refugees in other camps, and the Skyluck, etc. We should want to continue to make use of this facility in this way even after the transfer of the camp:
The Government would retain the right to decide when the camp was no longer required and when it should révert to the Government.
We suggest that the take-over date should be as soon as possible and certainly not later than the 1st June,
