ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM CHINA
10. The policy of repatriating illegal immigrants from Ch who are detained while trying to enter Hong Kong is necess in order to control the rate of arrivals. The policy is applied as humanely as possible. Each case is considered
its merits, and where there are humanitarian reasons for allowing a particular individual to remain, the repatriati policy is not enforced. There is no evidence that those
are repatriated are treated harshly.
