Amend the Births and Deaths Registration Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title.
1.
This Ordinance may be cited as the Births
and Deaths Registration (Amendment) Ordinance 1979.
Amendment of section 13. (Cap. 174.)
2. Section 13 of the principal Ordinance is
amended
(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "In" and
substituting the following
"Subject to subsection (3A), in"; and
(b) by inserting after subsection (3) the
following subsection
-
(3A) No alteration or addition
to the name or names of a child, in
any register book of births, shall be
made under this section after the child
has attained the age of 11 years.
