the necessary staff to deal with such registration and a general register office for keeping registers of all births and deaths occurring in Hong Kong. Minor consequential amendments are made to the Births Regis- tration (Special Registers) Ordinance, the Deaths Registration (Special Registers) Ordinance and the Adoption Ordinance. (The transfer of responsibility for the registration of marriages will be dealt with under the Marriage Ordinance (Cap. 181).)
3. The Bill has no financial implications and is not expected to result in any increased staffing requirement.
一九七九年生死註冊及領養子女(雜項修訂)法案
摘要說明
根據生死註冊條例(香港法例第一七四章)第三條之規定,生死註冊 乃由註冊總署署長負責。當局現決定將此責任(連同婚姻註冊)移交人事登記處處 長。根據人事登記條例(香港法例第一七七章)之規定,該職位係由人民入境事務 署署長兼任。
二、 本法案以新條款取代生死註冊條例(香港法例第一七四章)第三條。新 條款規定總督可委任生死註冊主任一人及處理此等註冊事宜所需之其他人員,並指 定將全港之出生及死亡登記冊存放於一登記冊總處。本法案又對出生註冊(特別登 記册)條例、死亡註冊(特別登記冊)條例、及領養子女條例作出相應之輕微修 訂。(至於婚姻註冊責任之移交,將根據婚姻條例(香港法例第一八一章)之規定 處理。)
三、 本法案對政府經費並無影響,預料亦不會引致人手需求方面有所增加。
