The employment of children under 13 years

of age or in any industrial undertaking (within the

meaning of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings

Ordinance (Cap. 59)) is prohibited.

Children who

have attained 13 years may be employed in certain

Occupations. The types of employment and the

conditions thereof will depend, among other things,

upon whether or not the child has completed Form III

of secondary education (regulations 4, 5 and 6).

The regulations further provide for the

keeping of records, etc., by persons employing children

and impose penaltics for contraventions of the

regulations.
