1. we spoke. You may care to see the attached copy of a . letter from Hong Kong which prompted my enquiry.
2. The only mention of this session of the Working Group on our file is a UN Fress Release (HR/1846 of 27 August). P.2. refers inter alia to reports submitted to the Group on the exploitation of child labour and recommends that the Sub- Commission on Prevention of Liscrimination and rotection of Minorities should bring these reports to the attention of the Governments concerned.
3. I wonder whether you have seen any record of the working Group's discussions, in particular any references to a report prepared by the Anti-Slavery Lociety for the Frotection of Human Rights entitled "Child Labour in Hong kong" or a report on the same subject by the International Labour Organisation? 1 understand that both reports were submitted to the working Group.
4. in view of Hong Kong's reaction to the anti-lavery Society's report, is there any possibility of our subuitting counter arguments to the working Group on lavery.
