We have received a letter from the
British council of Churches (copy enclosed) asking about the state of play on legislation for paid maternity leave in Hong Kong. I have looked through the Departmental quarterly progress reports which we receive gere and have drawn a blank. Mr Rose has listed very specific points, and I would be grateful if you could comment on these before I reply to him.
