Oh dear! I think the fact that Rogers thought it necessary to send this at all suggests that the sessions in Hong Kong were bad-tempered.
My only concern is with A. On this I think we should stick to our collective guns: it is reasonable, at least until we see the atmosphere in Peking, to maintain that HMG in the UK are as much responsible for arranging regional routes out of Hong Kong as they are for the trunk route. The Canton-Hong Kong scheduled service is done by operating permit issued by HMG, not Hong Kong. Actually I doubt if the Chinese will make any bones about this they are most likely to say that this is entirely a British matter.
