5. THE AIRLINES MAY ON ANY OR ALL FLIGHTS OMIT CALLING AT ANY
OF THE POINTS IN THE AFOREMENTIONED ROUTES AS APPROPRIATE PROVIDED
THAT THE SERVICES COMMENCE FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES OF ORIGE
6. THE ABOVE EXCHANGE OF ROUTES WOULD, WITHOUT DELAY, BE CONFIRMED
BY AN EXCHANGE OF DIPLOMATIC NOTES, ADDING THE SECOND ROUTES
SPECIFIED IN PARAGRAPHS 3 AND 4 ABOVE TO SECTIONS I AND 11 RESPECTIVELY OF THE ROUTE SCHEDULE OF THE AIR SERVICES AGREEMENT
OF 28 JUNE 1973.
7. IT WAS UNDERSTOOD THAT THE AIRLINE OF EITHER SIDE WOULD GIVE
TO THE AERONAUTICAL AUTHORITIES OF THE OTHER SIDE NOT LESS THAN
THREE MONTHS NOTICE OF ITS INTENTION TO COMMENCE SERVICES.
PENDING FURTHER CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN THE AERONAUTICAL AUTHORITIES
AS ENVISAGED IN PARAGRAPH 10, NO FIFTH FREEDOM RIGHTS MAY BE
EXERCISED BY THE AIRLINE OF EITHER SIDE.
REGIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN HONG KONG AND INDONESIA.
8. THE INDONESIAN AERONAUTICAL AUTHORITES WOULD PERMIT CATHAY
PACIFIC AIRWAYS TO OPERATE UP TO SEVEN WEEKLY B747 SERVICES
HONG KONG-SINGAPORE-JAKARTA, SUCH SERVICES BEING RESTRICTED TO
CARRYING NOT MORE THAN 50 PASSENGERS ON EACH FLIGHT BETWEEN
SINGAPORE AND JAKARTA AND VICE VERSA. FURTHER, THE INDONESIAN AUTHORITIES WOULD PERMIT CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS TO OPERATE UP TO
THREE WEEKLY SERVICES HONG KONG-KUALA LUMPUR-JAKARTA-PERTH BY
B707 AIRCRAFT OR BY L-1011 AIRCRAFT RESTRICTED TO B707 CAPACITY.
ON BOTH ROUTES CATHAY PACIFIC AIRWAYS MAY AT ITS OWN DISCRETION
OMIT CALLING AT ANY POINT PROVIDED THE SERVICES COMMENCE IN HONG
KONG.
9. THE UNITED KINGDOM AERONAUTICAL AUTHORITIES WOULD PERMIT GARUDA
TO OPERATE UP TO SEVEN WEEKLY DC-10 SERVICES JAKARTA-HONG KONG AND UP TO THREE WEEKLY SERVICES BY DC-8 AIRCRAFT OR BY DC-10 AIRCRAFT LIMITED TO DC-8 CAPACITY ON THE ROUTE DENPASAR-HONGKONG-
TOK YO.
